paigefluxIsn’t there just something so neat and tidy about a month starting on a Monday? I don’t quite know what it is, or why it’s so, but I do like it. I guess it’s the combination of a new week, a new month and new things starting because it’s the beginning – of both the week and month. I know what I mean and what I’m trying to say but I’m not sure I’m articulating it very well.
And this is a great start to my first blog post LOL Hi, I’m Paige and I’m not exactly great at expressing myself. I can do it when writing fiction just great, and I do love to write. But trying to actually put the ‘real’ thoughts in my brain onto paper is something new so it’s going to take practice. Please bear with me while I get the hang of this.
New things. That’s what I’m aiming for in November. I’m feeling all determined and getting shit done and… hah I have ADHD so that’s probably only going to last a few days. But I’m like to try at least 4 new things this month
1) Blogging. Here I am, a brand new Dreamwidth account and my first blog post. Go me. Now to continue this on past today. There’s a reminder set in my google calendar which also pings phone so that should help.
2) Put up fairy lights. I’ve been poking around Instagram and pinterest for home décor type things. I recently discovered the whole ‘aesthetics’ thing, worked out which one/s I am and really love the idea of just have fairy lights dotted around. I’ve ordered a couple of packs off Amazon, now to figure out where to put them.
3) Go to a fireworks display. I love bonfire night, I love fireworks, I love things like candy apples and fairs but I haven’t been to a proper, organised, firework display since I was a child and I really like the idea of doing so. It’s really appealing – wrapped up in a warm coat, hat and gloves, maybe a hot chocolate and watching fireworks!
4) Make a crumble I love baking, I love crumbles and yet I’ve never made one. I don’t quite know why not, they’re not exactly difficult. A nice apple & blackberry crumble with ice-cream or custard is utterly delightful after all
So those are my new things to try and do in November. Nothing too stressful or anything but a few fun goals for myself.
